So you want to join the Hurricanes - Ames Hurricanes Soccer Club

The following is some information about our club and what to expect.

There are various leagues and tournaments throughout the year along with other scrimmages. The leagues and tournaments vary with their age requirements.
If you plan to play more than 3 outdoor or indoor sessions per year, membership is required and a set of practice jerseys should be purchased.
Membership costs $20 per year and practice jerseys cost $20 for set of cotton or $30 for a set of dri-fit. Each set contains one red & one white and are available in adult sizes only – S, M, L & XL.
Anyone playing in the CICS League is required to purchase a game day jersey – cost $36.05
Membership money and money from our sponsors is used to subsidize indoor play, to purchase equipment and to pay for line painting on fields we use when the City of Ames is not painting and maintaining fields.
Ames Hurricanes usually need more girls than guys so occasionally some subsidies are available for girls. That may include free membership or loaner uniforms if playing for a league team.
